VOLUNTEERS

Volunteerism is a big deal with making the Body of Christ function.  All parts working together for the common good, as St. Paul would say.  St Michael's is no different and there have been several members of our community of faith who have recently offered their time and talents for various positions.  Gloria Sims-Fargas has accepted the position as the Parish representative on the St. Michael's Day School Board.  Gil Murray has accepted an appointment as Clerk of the Vestry and Ann has agreed to be our new book keeper.  There are no unimportant ministries in Christ's Church and we value each person's gift as a blessing from God.

MOTTO:  The greatest casualty being forgotten"
MISSION
To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
The Diocese of Florida has a unique role in the WWP by providing retreats at Camp Weed twice a year to help our severely wounded Veterans connect with one another, to help them understand that while their world may have collapsed that they still are useful and have bright futures and to explore their spirituality..
Our contact in the Diocese is The Rev. David C. Killeen, Associate Rector St. Mark's Church, JAX.

SAINT OF THE MONTH

Father Richard Roos

Father Richard Roos comes to us as Sunday Supply (never liked that term"Supply") Priest.  Let's change the terminology.  Father Richard comes to us as our Sunday Missioner from Jacksonville where he lives in semi-retirement with his lovely wife.

Father has a most lovely cadence and feel for the liturgy and weaves each Sunday's message like a fine tapestry.  He is gentle and kind and sings to us each week (a sure sign of his love for us).  Fr. R. just oozes the Holy Spirit which is apparent each Sunday as he hangs about to fellowship with us.  We are blessed to have Fr. Richard with us for the months of July and August.  If you haven't had the privilege of meeting him yet come on a Sunday soon.
